# Entity Watchers

> Watch a known list of specific people or companies and get notified when their profiles change. Coming soon.

Where [Discovery Watchers](/watcher-docs/discovery/introduction) **find new people or
companies** that match a filter, **Entity Watchers watch a known list** of specific
people or companies you already have — and notify you when *their* profiles change.

You supply the entities (by LinkedIn URL, domain, or Crustdata ID), and the watcher
tracks them on a schedule, delivering the **diff** whenever something changes —
for example:

* A tracked person **updates their current role or headline** (a strong "in motion" / open-to-work signal).
* A tracked person **changes company**, education, or location.
* A tracked company **changes headcount, funding, or key fields**.

This is the right tool when you want to monitor a **fixed, known set** — an ATS of
candidates, a book of accounts, a competitor list — rather than discover new matches
from the whole database.
